On Extended Hiatus

As much as I hate to announce this, it is long overdue: Go Goiano is going on extended hiatus.

Thank you so much for your interest and support!

It's been such a pleasure meeting people from all over the globe who have shown an interest in this little blog. I hope that it continues to be a resource for people who are interested in getting to know another side of Brazil — beyond the media's fave five facades.

Go Goiano will be back with photos, info, Portuguese help, and more Wacky Haiku ...sometime in the next few months. Although I cannot specify, at this time, when that may be... I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

See you on the other side!

Keep me in your reader feed so that you know when i get them up, or feel free to send your email address to go_goiano@yahoo.com and i'll send you a notification when everything is up & going again.

  5. Amaris,

I hope you enjoy your hiatus!

I'll be homeschooling my 3rd grader this year and we're going to be studying countries & cultures. I'm going to share some of your blog with him some when we study Brazil!

Maybe we can even write you a letter!! :)

    Take care,
    Judy

Thanks! You, too! I will hopefully be back on track in the next few months. Hope you get to return soon! :)

Thanks! :) Something i haven't addressed yet, is the insane amount of time it takes to receive anything from the U.S. (versus other places). That, plus the potential [and almost regularly scheduled] strike can really affect snail mail or package deliveries. The fastest i've ever received something from the U.S. was 2 months later... Interestingly, things from Europe & Asia seem to get through more quickly.

How about you email your address, and i'll get one out to you? :) Just email me at the address listed on my contact page. I look forward to hearing from you!!

Friends, i'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your comments! I haven't had access to my computer for the past few weeks. Thank you for your continued interest & patience!

Questions and comments are welcomed! While anonymous comments are allowed for those without a blogger account, please leave a link and (or at least) A NAME, so that we know who you are.

Anonymous authors are only good for ransom notes & random quotes (one's difficult to sight, the other is tough to cite).

So, for the productivity of discussions on this site, please leave us your alias, given name [aka secret identity], handle, ID, nickname, nom de plume, or otherwise e-version of your John Hancock. Feel free to make one up, just for us. We'd be honored.

Thanks for playing! :)
